It has been nicknamed “the women’s herb because it is used primarily for menstrual issues; specifically targeting irregularities in the cycle, premenstrual syndrome, premenstrual dysmorphic disorder and symptoms of menopause.
  • Dong Quai – is a plant which roots are used to make herbal remedies. It is used mainly for menstrual cramps, premenstrual syndrome and menopause related symptoms. Men also use this medication to reduce the possibility of premature ejaculation.
  • Hawthorn – a shrub type plant that the berries, leaves and flowers are used in supplements. Hawthorn can help increase the amount of blood pumped out of the heart, increase the width of blood vessels and improve nerve signal transmissions in the brain. It is also used to treat congestive heart failure and irregular heartbeat.
  • Motherwort – is a plant that uses its above ground growth in medicines. It helps treat heart failure, irregular heartbeat, overactive thyroid and symptoms of anxiety. The plant can also be applied to the skin to relieve itching and shingles. The seeds of the species are used to improve eyesight.
  • Licorice root- Most people are more familiar with the flavoring that comes from this root. It is used for digestive system issues such as heartburn, colic, gastritis and stomach ulcers. It can also be used for other illnesses including liver disorders, lupus and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Dosage

Menopautonic is suggested to be taken twice daily; one soft gel capsule in the morning with water and one soft gel capsule just prior to bed.
