What is MidNite for Menopause?

One of the trademark symptoms of a woman’s transition into menopause is her difficulty in sleeping.  Surveys have shown that almost 57% of peri-menopausal and 51% of post-menopausal women have sleep problems associated with the symptoms of menopause.  Midnite for Menopause was designed with these women in mind, to help relieve their nightime menopausal symptoms.  It would appear that this formula contains ingredients known in clinical studies to have relieved night sweats and hot flashes.  For anyone every having suffered these, what a blessing!

Ingredients

Often, we all need help sleeping, but for many with menopause this is more difficult at times.  Between the night sweats and hot flashes, sleeping becomes totally elusive for many.  MidNite for Menopause is a sleep aid that offers a safe and effective drug-free alternative to help those fall alseep easily and wake without grogginess.  Containing a blend of melatonin and a blend of proprietary herbs, this may be for you.

  • Melatonin
  • Genistein isoflavone
  • Proprietary Blend
    • Lemon Balm
    • Chamomile
    • Lavender

Dosage

While not exceeding 2 tablets per day, you may chew 1 tablet prior to sleep. If you go to sleep and wake, you may chew another tablet (no water necessary) hopefully allowing you to fall back to sleep. The product comes in a bottle of 28, so the minimum coverage would be for less than one month.  The recommendation is that you allow 3 hours sleep per tablet.

Side Effects

While no specific side effects are noted, you may want to seek the advice of a physician if you are on any medications to check for interactions.  The manufacturer recommends that you do not use when consuming alcohol, sedatives, or other products which may cause drowsiness. Additionally, due to the use of melatonin in this product, it is not advisable to drive, operate machinery or engage in other activities that require complete mental alertness until the effects have fully dissipated.

Conclusion

MidNite for Menopause may be a great product to help menopausal women get more restful sleep. However, it appears quite inefficient to alleviate other problems that menopausal women experience every day.   While appearing safe and easy to use, this product is not intended for prolonged use and while not actually habit-forming, it may create a figurative dependency on the major active ingredient, melatonin.  Caution and concern must be taken by anyone seeking a supplement for relief of menopause.
