What is Nature Made Turmeric Curcumin?

This is a review of Turmeric Curcumin by Nature Made. This is a herbal supplement, intended to boost the human immune system. The academic literature we reviewed suggests that turmeric has immune boosting properties, thanks to the antioxidants naturally present in turmeric. Antioxidants are also thought to offer some protection against cancer cells developing in the body, as they inhibit the activity of free radicals.
We also found evidence of turmeric’s usefulness in preventing or managing a range of other conditions and ailments. Anti-inflammatory properties can help ease the symptoms of various forms of arthritis. It offers help to the human body in various stages of digestion too, by helping to break down fats and cholesterol, and by aiding liver function.

Ingredients

The primary and active ingredient is turmeric. There are no other medicinal herbs present. There are a few other ingredients listed as ‘other’ but these have no side effects. Gelatin is present, however, making this product unsuitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Dosage

The bottle states that one capsule per day is to be taken, preferably with a meal. There is no guidance as to what time of day the supplement is best consumed for maximum effect.

What is the Cost?

We found that a 60-capsule bottle retails for around $9 on Amazon, and a pack of three bottles retails for around $29, actually making buying in bulk slightly more expensive. This is one of the oddest pricing policies we’ve ever seen.

Manufacturer’s Guarantee

The manufacturer makes no mention of any kind of price guarantee, satisfaction guarantee, or quality guarantee on the product bottle. Our team is always disappointed when this is the case. Much like the pricing policy, our team felt that Nature Made is lacking a cohesive sales policy when it comes to this particular supplement. After some digging, we did manage to find a separate page on the manufacturer’s website, with a convoluted menu system, which eventually led to a phone number to call with refund queries. There were no details about the terms and conditions of this hidden guarantee,

Our Final Review of Nature Made Turmeric Curcumin

If you require a turmeric supplement, you definitely know what you are getting with this particular supplement. It’s basically just turmeric and the capsule housing. We like that it is so straightforward, with no other combinations to consider. The manufacturers also state that they guarantee a certain base level of turmeric in each bottle – 47.5mg. We’re always glad to see companies taking steps to ensure standardization of their supplement products. We are not happy with the less than transparent guarantees offered to consumers by Nature Made. There are better guarantee policies offered by competing products. The pricing policy is possibly just an oversight, but we feel that if a customer commits to buying a product in bulk, they should benefit from a discount. It would be annoying to buy one bottle at a time, rather than three. The dosage guidelines would be better if they suggested a time of day for taking the capsules.
