What is Mum-To-Be Stretch Mark Oil?

The following review is for a product called Mum-To-Be Stretch Mark Oil, manufactured by Sanctuary Spa. It is claimed to prevent and reduce the appearance of stretch marks. This product is especially designed for women who are pregnant and for women who want to nourish their skin after pregnancy. Learn more about Sanctuary Spa Mum-To-Be Stretch Mark Oil by reading our review below.

Ingredients

  • Prunus amygdalus dulcis (Sweet almond) oil
  • Cocos nucifera (Coconut) oil
  • Rosa rubiginosa seed oil (Rosehip)
  • Parfum (Fragrance)
  • Dipropylene glycol
  • Tocopheryl acetate
  • Triticum vulgare (Wheat) germ oil
  • Borago officinalis (Borage) oil
  • Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) seed oil
  • Calophyllum tacamahaca (Tamanu) oil
  • Tocopherol

The product contains oils like sweet almond, coconut, and sunflower oil which help nourish the skin and reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Mum-To-Be Stretch Mark Oil does not contain medical grade silicon which is essential for skin repair in the treatment of stretch marks. It also lacks essential oils for the rejuvenation of the skin, like onion bulb extract, safflower oil, and jojoba oil. Lack of these ingredients may result in this product being ineffective.

Dosage

The manufacturer recommends massaging the Mum-To-Be Stretch Mark Oil into the skin as often as possible. The area must however be clean. It is also suggested that one massage the oil in after a bath or shower to lock in extra moisture. There is no indication as to how much oil should be used. Using too little oil may lead to no improvement of the affected area. Suggesting to use the product as often as possible is also a very confusing instruction.

What is the Cost?

The product can be purchased online from the manufacturer’s website. It will cost $14.16 for a bottle of 150 ml. Free delivery is offered when orders are over $25. There are no special offers available or bulk package options for customers. This could get pricey for customers who wish to use this product long-term or who need to use a lot of the product at a time.

Manufacturer’s Guarantee

The manufacturer offers a return policy. The policy is applicable for customers who are unsatisfied with their purchase and wish to return it for a refund. A customer must notify the manufacturer within 7 working days and the product must be returned within 14 working days from delivery. The short period of time indicates that the product must most probably be unopened, however, it is not stated. This is very confusing and it leaves the risk in the hands of the customer.

Our Final Review of Sanctuary Spa Mum-To-Be Stretch Mark Oil

We do like a few things about Sanctuary Spa Mum-To-Be Stretch Mark Oil. It contains a few oils which nourish the skin and the manufacturer offers a return policy. Unfortunately, there are a few things about the product which lead to concern. It does not contain medical grade silicon for the repair of the skin deep under the stretch mark. Essential oils for rejuvenation of the skin are also lacking. The absence of these key ingredients could prevent the product from being effective. The instructions on the use of the product as well as how much to use are very vague. The guarantee offered by the manufacturer is very weak, with no indication to the condition the product must be in upon returning it. The customer reviews on the manufacturer’s website only show one negative comment between meany positive comments. There are no comments on Amazon. Due to the possibility of the product being ineffective and the weak guarantee, customers are better off trying a different stretch mark product. We do not recommend Sanctuary Spa Mum-To-Be Stretch Mark Oil.
