What Is Advanced Botanicals Daily Facial Moisturizer?

Today we review Seed and a product they have created called Advanced Botanicals Daily Facial Moisturizer. True to its name, it is a formula based on seed oils, so it is plant-based. It is fragrance-free and free of allergens as well as parabens, vegetarian-friendly, not tested on animals and also free of synthetics. Not much is said about it but what can be deduced, is that it is meant to be a highly natural moisturizer which does not irritate sensitive or problem skin. We will use well-published research and, importantly, results from the biggest clinical trials as a framework for measuring to what extent this formula does, exceeds or falls short of what a moisturizer is intended to do for the skin. This formula promises to make your skin look more radiant and to help prevent the visible signs of aging.

Ingredients

  • Sea Kelp
  • Jojoba Seed Oil
  • Cucumber Oil
  • Sunflower Seed Oil
  • Vitamin C
  • Abyssinian Seed Oil
  • Vitamin B3
  • Vitamin E

Vitamin E and Vitamin C are clinically essential ingredients – they fight free radicals and stimulate collagen production so you have plump, firm skin. True to its name, just about every seed oil you can find has been added to the mix. Now make no mistake they have their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, rejuvenative and astringent properties such as refining your pores – but there is a reason why science throws its weight behind other oils such as Shea Butter and Sweet Almond Oils and the reason is simply: you need oils with all the most potent properties, that also sink deeply into the skin. If not, you will not harvest the benefit of those properties as the oils must not get to work superficially, but repair cells and stimulate new collagen-rich growth far below the epidermis! If an oil misses the target, it is ineffective, plain and simple. The other question is: where are the patented, clinically proven ingredients here? There are no patents. It is as if the manufacturer has had good intentions but rushed to market an unrefined formula. Most manufacturers opt for using the patented ingredient Stay-C 50 because It is a much more stable form of vitamin C. So instead of just adding vitamin C, they have added the most valuable form there is to thoroughly maximize all its important benefits.

How To Use

The product comes in a pump dispenser. There are no upfront instructions but we do know the product line includes a face wash and toner. Presumably, you should apply this afterward. As it is formulated as lightweight, it should sink in easily. When it comes to skin matters, how you use a product makes all the difference and a manufacturer should be painfully clear about the usage directions.

What Is The Cost?

A 4 oz pump dispenser costs $29.95 to buy online from the product website. We tried to check out 3, and there was no bulk discount. Shipping is free if you place an order for over $49.95.

Manufacturer’s Guarantee

If the product is defective, you’ll be issued with a replacement. Other than that, the policy is vague. If you’re unhappy, you should consult the customer care line so they can ensure ‘satisfaction’ but there is no talk as to whether this involves a refund. It probably does not, or that would have been stated. The lack of transparency raises alarm over and above raising questions.

Our Final Review Of Advanced Botanicals Daily Facial Moisturizer

We cannot help but feel deduce that the manufacturer has not bothered to go the extra mile in bringing to market something truly valuable to customers. There is no consumer-forward thinking at all: you have a guarantee that is vague and basically meaningless, no attempt to reduce the cost if you make a purchase in volume, no real attempt at communicating how you should best use Daily Facial Moisturizer and to top it all, not one attempt at a clinically proven patented ingredient. Some manufacturers cannot formulate their own patents but even so, in the beauty arena, patents are powerful if clinically approved so they use the patent of another under license. What appears to be fairly promising at first glance therefore woefully under-delivers, and we cannot recommend it.
