What is Mustela Stretch Mark Prevention Cream?

Today we review Mustela Stretch Mark Prevention Cream.  This hypoallergenic cream can be used throughout a pregnancy to prevent the formation of stretch marks.  With naturally originating ingredients, this cream keeps skin supple, elastic, and comfortable both during prenatal and postpartum pregnancy.

This list of ingredients is extremely long.  While it does have some key ingredients for stretch mark prevention, like shea butter and sunflower seed oil, we are concerned with the amount of other ingredients in this cream.

Dosage

Women who find out they are pregnant should start using this cream as soon as they can and continue its use through the entire pregnancy and through the child’s infancy.  This cream should be applied twice a day, in the morning and at night. Massage the cream into your abdomen, hips, thighs, and arms until the cream is fully absorbed.

What is the Cost?

One 8.45 ounce bottle of this lotion costs $30.  To qualify for free shipping, you must make a purchase of $40 or more.  This cream is about average for other stretch mark therapies we have seen on the market.

Manufacturer’s Guarantee

While the manufacturer does not state a money-back guarantee, they do have a return policy.  If you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return your product within 30 days for a refund or exchange.  Unfortunately, there was not more information available on the manufacturer’s website, so we were unable to learn what will qualify you for a full refund of your money versus the manufacturer just issuing a product exchange.  Also, 30 days is a very short period to decide whether or not you like a skincare product, so the time frame for returns does not offer enough time to know whether this therapy will work or not to prevent stretch marks.

Our Final Review of Mustela Stretch Mark Prevention Cream

There are a few things we liked about Mustela Stretch Mark Prevention Cream.  The cream does have some main ingredients, like shea butter, that are known to help reduce and prevent stretch marks.  Also, the price of this cream is average, when compared to other stretch mark therapies.

Unfortunately, there are many things we did not like about this product.  First off, the ingredient list is extremely long. Also, as this is a prevention cream, if you do not use it on certain areas of your body, it will not help eliminate stretch marks after they appear.  Lastly, the return policy offered by the manufacturer is not long enough or thorough enough. For these reasons, we cannot recommend this product for the prevention of stretch marks due to pregnancy.
