What is Renewing Collagen Elastin Moisturizer?

The review below examines the product Renewing Collagen Elastin Moisturizer: This moisturizer is manufactured by St. Ives, a Unilever US company. It claims to renew the skin’s youthful glow, as does collagen or elastin protein. Keep reading our review for more about this product.

Ingredients

There is just one active ingredient, namely safflower seed oil. This oil is believed to help to moisturize and smooth the skin. It does this by hydrating the skin while minimizing the appearance of wrinkles. However, the concentration of active ingredients is weak. Other ingredients, such as hydrolyzed elastin or even hydrolyzed collagen might help to avert aging or have anti-aging properties. The concentration of these ingredients, however, is so low as to be ineffective. For a product to be effective, it requires at least five clinically proven ingredients. This product does not contain any. This is a concern. Despite our research efforts, we were unable to find any mention that this product is cruelty-free or vegan-friendly. More so, this product uses ingredients that are potentially harmful, such as phenoxyethanol, which is toxic.

How To Use

It is recommended by the manufacturer of this product that the following instructions should be followed: The product should be used morning and night. A small amount should be scooped up on fingers and rubbed evenly into the skin. The product is presented in a tub, perhaps messier than a pump bottle.

What is the Cost?

The product Renewing Collagen Elastin Moisturizer is available online, but only from third-party sites such as Amazon. This product, in a 10-ounce tub, costs $5.44. The company that manufacturer’s this skin-care product does offer package deals: if you buy two products you pay $10.44 (a tiny discount) and if you buy four tubs then pay $23.87, which is more expensive than buying tubs singly or in twos.

Manufacturer’s Guarantee

Despite our research efforts, we were unable to locate a manufacturer’s guarantee for this skin-care product. This is a concern, possibly implying that this product is not as effective as the company claims: they do not back the product. However, since it is sold through Amazon, the third-party site’s standard return policy is applicable: items may be returned, unopened, within 30 days.

Our Final Review of Renewing Collagen Elastin Moisturizer

The skin-care product, Renewing Collagen Elastin Moisturizer, seems promising. It is available in various package deals, and its active ingredient is known to be effective in skin hydration. However, the package deals do not come with discounts; and the active ingredient concentration is not high. This beauty product contains no ingredients clinically proven to work. There is no guarantee which would protect the consumer. Furthermore, this product contains the toxic ingredient phenoxyethanol, which is a concern. There are many similar products on the market. Most of these offer better guarantees, better quality of ingredients and even more than five clinically proven ingredients, as well as attractive package deals with discounts. This product, however, does not match that standard.
