What is TNVitamins Ultra Thin CLA?

Conjugated linoleic acid is a family of at least 28 isomers of linoleic acid found mostly in meat and dairy products. Studies have demonstrated that CLA reduces fat mass while increasing lean body mass. CLA is a naturally occurring fatty acid that is considered a beneficial fat present in foods such as meat, cheese, and dairy products at low levels. Ultra Thin CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) by TNVitamins claims to be a good source of CLA and the manufacturer posits that its ingredients are highly efficient in bodybuilding and weight management.

Although CLA is a supplement that nutritionists and health advocates have heard of, not many people, including athletes and others in the sports sector, know very much about it or its benefits. Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is a mixture of different types of isomers of linoleic acid, primarily position and geometric isomers. Current research findings suggest that CLA as a supplement has a number of benefits for bodybuilders and all types of athletes. Ultra Thin CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) by TNVitamins is derived primarily from safflower oil which is the major ingredient listed on the bottle. Ingredients

This product contains 1000mg of safflower oil standardized to contain 78-84% CLA. Other ingredients include gelatin, vegetable glycerin, and purified water.

Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) has been found to be a potent antioxidant, anticarcinogen, and anticatabolite, as well as a powerful immune system enhancer. CLA also assists in fat burning, as well as the building and retention of lean muscle. A deficiency of CLA in the diet may be a major factor in causing Americans to gain so many fat pounds.  Supplementing the diet with CLA enhances muscle growth by burning fat, which contributes to increased metabolism, useful in weight loss and management. It also lowers cholesterol and triglycerides by stabilizing them in the body, reduces insulin resistance as well as food-induced allergic reactions, and enhances the immune system.

Dosage

It is recommended to take one or more capsules a day. These are rather vague instructions as the manufacturer does not include an upper limit of capsules to take a day, which could be dangerous. It is also not stated when you should take the capsules.

Pregnant and lactating women should consult their doctor before taking this product.  Anyone under medical care should also consult a doctor. Discontinue use if any adverse effects occur. Keep out of the hands of children under the age of 18.

What is the Cost?

The TNVitamins website is offering a 90-capsule bottle of Ultra Thin CLA capsules for a reduced price of $7.95. The original price is $18.95. The same bottle of 180 capsules sold on Amazon is priced at $13.98 plus $3.95 for shipping. You can also buy a bottle of 180 softgels for $13.98.

Manufacturer’s Guarantee

This product comes with a 90-day money-back guarantee. The manufacturer says they will accept the return of all unwanted items.

Our Final Review of TNVitamins Ultra Thin CLA

This seems like a decent product for anyone interested in strengthening their muscles, building up their body mass or just losing weight based on the ingredients. However, we don’t like the fact that the amount of CLA present in the product is within a range, rather than a set amount. This may indicate that the product is not consistently made and one bottle may be more effective over another bottle. The dosage instructions are also vague. We think it is important to find a product that is consistently made and clear with their information.
