The following review is for a product called Allmax Conjugated Linoleic Acid – CLA 95. The manufacturer claims that this product might lead to decreased body fat while maintaining lean body mass. Other claims are that this product might assist to reduce body fat by blocking fat accumulation in fat cells, the product might assist in the promotion of the body’s natural fat metabolism which may result in an easier method to get the body into shape.

  • CLA – Conjugated Linoleic Acid (from Safflower Oil)

Allmax CLA 95 has 950 mg pure CLA per 1000 mg soft gel capsule. Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is a fatty acid marketed as a weight loss aid. Derived from Safflower Oil.

Other Ingredients:

  • Gelatin (bovine)
  • Glycerin
  • Purified Water

The source of the Gelatin in CLA 95 capsules is Bovine (cow-derived). Not porcine (pork-derived). Gelatin is largely made up of proline, amino acids, and glycine. It is derived from the bones, tissues, and organs of animals. These amino acids are needed not only for optimal immune function and weight regulation, but for healthy hair, skin, and nails. Glycerin is a sugar alcohol found in the natural fats of vegetables and animals. Purified water has been purified to remove any contaminants or chemicals. In this review of the other ingredients, we have found that the manufacture ris not vegan or vegetarian friendly as Gelatin (bovine) is derived from cows.

Dosage

Take 1 (one) capsule 3 (three) times daily as a weight loss aid prior to meals. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should not take this product as it decreases the fat content of breast milk which may be unhealthy for the infant. Scientifically it has been proven that 2,000mg of CLA per day is the recommended dosage, thus would we state that this dosage is too high.
