What is Nature’s Edge Phytoceramides?

This product claims to offer healthier-looking skin to both men and women. As we age, our skin loses its moisture and resiliency. As a result, our facial tissue becomes less flexible and begins to harden and sag. Phytoceramides are one group of several skin care ingredients that provide protection from nature’s elements, such as irritating skin care products, sun damage or a dry environment by maintaining a particular anti-aging hydration balance consisting of a specific combination of vitamins A, D, C and E.

According to Nature’s Edge, each 40mg Phytoceramides capsule has been formulated to build skin rejuvenation and fight signs of aging using plant-derived ceramides. Ceramides have been designated as a source of 20% of our bodies’ internal binding matter, helping to maintain moisture balance and protect the skin’s surface.

The company asserts that their Phytoceramides help to erase sun damage and make wrinkles disappear by hydrating your skin. The powerful combination of vitamins helps new skin cells grow and replaces the damaged ones, minimizing signs of aging.

Although there are several other brands of phytoceramides on the market, Nature’s Edge state that their ceramides are made from rice rather than wheat. This product also provides a combination of four vitamins.

Ingredients

  • Vitamin A – 5000 UI
  • Vitamin C – 600 mg
  • Vitamin D – 400 UI
  • Vitamin E – 30 UI
  • Phytoceramides (from rice) – 40mg

According to the label, these capsules provide glycolipids, phytoceramides & glycosylceramides.

The capsules consist of:

  • Vegetable Cellulose
  • Purified Water
  • Magnesium Stearate
  • Silicon Dioxide
  • Vegetable Stearate

Dosage

As a dietary supplement, consumers are advised to take one veggie capsule daily preferably 20-30 minutes before a meal with an 8oz glass of water or as directed by a physician. The supplement facts on the label, however, state that a serving size consists of two capsules which is confusing.

Anyone who is pregnant, nursing or taking other medications should consult their doctor before taking these capsules. In addition, children under the age of 18 or persons with any medical condition should consult a physician before taking this dietary supplement.
Attention should be given if the bottle seal has been broken or in any way tampered with.

What is the Cost?

You can buy this product online from a retailer such as Overstock. Overstock is selling a bottle of 30 capsules for $20.99. Free shipping is offered on orders over $45.

Manufacturer’s Guarantee

According to Amazon, the manufacturer offers a refund on all their products, even when bought from third-party sites. However, we could not find the official site to back this up.

There is a GMP certification displayed on the back label of the bottle.

Our Final Review of Nature’s Edge Phytoceramides

Phytoceramides by Nature’s Edge Supplements provides a combination of vitamins necessary for protecting the skin’s surface and reducing signs of aging. Each capsule contains the ingredients formulated to rejuvenate your skin and fight signs of aging using plant-derived ceramides. This product can be used by both men and women who are interested in maintaining healthier-looking skin.

The label of the product provides contradicting information regarding the number of capsules to be taken a day. This may affect the effectiveness if you are not taking the correct dosage each day. This product also does not come with an easily accessible money-back guarantee if the product does, in fact, prove ineffective. We think you should look to find other alternatives on the market.
