What is Saffron Extract?

We will be conducting a review of the Gold Source Labs Saffron Extract product. Gold Source Labs claim that their Saffron Extract is a non-stimulating, highly concentrated extract made the Crocus sativus plant. The manufacturer claims their formula is a 100% saffron extract and has been laboratory tested for purity and strength. Saffron Extract has a variety of health benefits including supporting weight loss, mood enhancement, premenstrual syndrome relief and it may help with diseases and cancer.

Ingredients

  • Saffron Extract Complex – 88.25 mg

Other Ingredients

  • Rice flour
  • vegetable cellulose
  • Silica

The manufacturer claims that the product is 100% Saffron, however, it appears that other ingredients exist in each capsule, such as rice and flour which acts as a binding agent. We have found other products of the same nature on the market which do not contain any binding ingredients, perhaps making these alternatives a better option.

Dosage

The daily dosage mentioned on the manufacturer’s website is two tablets containing 88.25mg of Saffron twice daily. This is a total daily intake of 353 mg of Saffron per day. This daily dosage is slightly lower than most of the alternatives available on the market which provide a daily Saffron Extract intake of around the 400mg mark per day.

What is the Cost?

Gold Source Labs Saffron Extract is available to buy online at Amazon for $17.97, excluding shipping. A discount for purchasing three or more bottles of the product is available and will cost you $16.29 each with free shipping.

Manufacturer’s Guarantee

Gold Source Labs Saffron Extract offers a 100% no hassle, money back, satisfaction guarantee. This is somewhat suspicious as there is no other information on their return’s policy, such as how many days the customer must return the product, how they can return it and what condition the product must be returned in.

Our Final Review of Gold Source Labs Saffron Extract

After reviewing this Saffron Extract product from Gold Source Labs, we have found only a few good reasons to use it. These reasons include competitive pricing and reasonable claims to the benefits of using Saffron Extract. There are still some concerns that we have picked up on in this product review such as the lower daily dosage in comparison to alternative Saffron Extract products. In addition to this, the manufacturer’s website claims that the product is a 100% Saffron Extract formula, however, when viewing the ingredients of the product, it shows that the manufacturer includes other ingredients such as rice and flour, which acts as binding agents. The lack of a clear information about the manufacturer’s guarantee policy is a downside and might cause some consumers to be misguided when returning the product. Another major concern we picked up on is the daily dosage. The manufacturer’s website states that two capsules are to be taken twice daily whereas the Amazon page states that only one tablet is to be taken twice daily. This difference in information is vital to a customer’s decision when purchasing the product.  We do not recommend using this product and advise looking for alternatives that have a higher dosage of Saffron Extract and provide more consistent information on the recommended dosage and guarantee policy.
