What is an Omega-3 Supplement?

There is growing recognition that Omega-3 fatty acids are essential for cardiovascular and heart health, as well as (depending on the formulation) brain, skin and immune health. It’s not surprising therefore that Omega-3 supplements have become an essential part of many individual’s health regime – and that there are literally dozens, if not hundreds, of Omega-3 products on the market.

One of the most common issues people have with taking Omega-3 is, because they are primarily a fish oil, they either taste awful or leave a fishy-aftertaste – what’s become known as “fish burps”.

This is our review of Country Life Omega-3. This product contains many of the essential fatty acids like EPA, DHA, LA and ALA which come from cold water fish, it also contains seed oils from plants.

The fish oil in Country Life Omega-3 was processed suing a molecular distillation method which is said to ensure purity. In addition, Country Life uses a third-party to test the products and ensure they don’t contain pesticides, herbicides, PCBs, dioxins or heavy metals such as mercury or lead.

Country Life Omega-3 Review – Conclusion

Country Life Omega-3 is manufactured in the United States according to certified Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), which indicates that you can be assured that it is pure. It is also certified Kosher and Halal, which is important for those who want to take Omega-3 supplementation, but because of religious dietary restrictions and requirements may be unsure about which products are acceptable.

While Country Life promises that these Omega-3  softgel capsules do not leave a fishy aftertaste, we noticed quite a number of reviews in which users complained abut the fishy smell left by taking the capsules. So, although it might not affect everyone in the same way, you could find that Country Life Omega-3 softgel capsules leave you with fishy breath!

If that’s the case, and you don’t want to keep on taking the capsules, you could find yourself unable to obtain a refund, depending on where you bought the product. For that reason, we recommend that you approach this product cautiously, by ordering just one of the smaller bottles, until you are sure that it agrees with you.
